  • Apparently I'm in the latest #mebrewfest commercial. @jjriley Is there a place I can watch it online? #
  • Installed a new gigabit switch in my office. It's faster and quieter than the old switch I had. #
  • Had some Brooklyn, Allagash, Val-Dieu and North Coast at Novare Res tonight. @robasha is finishing her card soon; can't wait to celebrate it #

  • Also, my traditional marriage feels cheapened today because I know only a certain kind of person is allowed to have one #

Beer Barrel Polka

I wish more Maine breweries offered barrel-aged selections.  I believe that what Allagash offers is exceptional, but I would love to see some great local beers left to sit in barrels for a year or so and then bottled for my enjoyment.  My wish list includes porters from Geary’s and Atlantic, MacFoochies or Pemaquid aged in Scotch barrels, and Cadillac Mtn. or Lake Trout stouts aged in bourbon barrels.

I was lucky enough to try the barrel-aged selections at the Marshall Wharf/3 Tides second anniversary party last month, and they were excellent.  Hopefully we’ll see similar selections coming out of Belfast.

Now, watch this:

  • SoPo had 25% voter turn-out before election day even started. I love the ease of early voting at City Hall. http://bit.ly/4l2FlT #
  • Tonight I'll be watching election results and an invasion of lizard-like aliens in disguise (the aliens will be in disguise, not me) #
  • I did the #VoteNoon1 thing last week; tonight I vote on what pizza toppings I should use. #VoteYesonProsciutto #
  • I think those were the first hast tags I've ever used. Glad it was for #VoteNoon1 #

  • Watching keg after keg kick at the Lion's Pride. Good thing every beer on tap is great! #
